Through the Aperture: An Introduction to Colossians
This Sunday we’ll begin studying through the New Testament Book of Colossians. The colossal book of Colossians is profound, relevant, and riveting. This is because the main focus of Colossians is Christ Himself. J.B. Phillips said, “Jesus Christ is the aperture through which the immensity and magnificence of God can be seen.” An aperture is the opening of a camera lens that determines the amount of light that comes into the picture. So as we study this epistle, light will flood in for us all to better see God.
In this introduction to Colossians, we’ll consider two necessary study disciplines: Exegesis (what the text meant to the original readers) and interpretation (what the text means to us). It all starts this Sunday morning at 10:00AM.
